At East Van Inc, we believe that giving or receiving a tattoo or a piercing is an act of rebellion and irreverence. They hurt a little, and some people find them frightening.* It’s also an act of respect, a demonstration of passion and a commitment to the art. We’re honoured to be part of it, whether it’s a first tattoo or one of hundreds, so we make the shop a welcoming, clean, and safe place for tattoos and piercing – or what the hell, just buying t-shirts.

Rocco Di Popolo – 11-17-71 – was born and raised in East Van. He got his first tattoo as a teenager, and since then has collected the work of more than thirty artists; including Bob Tyrell, Rob Thomas, Mr. Cartoon, Steve Moore, John the Dutchman, Riccardo Dobran, Andy Yurechko, Vinnie Rouco, and Horikazu. In 2009 he founded East Van Inc to celebrate the medium and create a place where artists and collectors can share the experiences, the stories, and the art of Tattoo.

East Van Inc is committed to bringing artists to Vancouver from around the world - tattooists that are exploring traditional work as well as those that are creating new styles, defending and challenging the art form at the same time – making a home here for them, and giving people in Vancouver a chance to get tattooed by their favorite artists.
