Hello and welcome to my Kinesiology page. My name is Cassandra and I am the founder of Stellar Performance.  I’d love to tell you a little bit about myself and my journey to starting my own practice.

 

I grew up being extremely dedicated to physical fitness and health.  I spent 9 years training at a circus school, which inspired me to pursue an academic career in something related to human movement.

 

As I was starting my diploma in sport science, I was faced with one of the worst years of my life. In the span of 11 months, I was in 3 major car accidents, as a passenger in every single one. The injuries that this left me with are still healing and I do maintenance frequently.

 

Despite this, I never gave up on my degree. It took me 8 years to rehabilitate my body and finish a degree in physical education and coaching with a specialization in kinesiology, as well as a diploma in sport science. I am so thankful for my years being a student, I met so many amazing people and made great memories along the way.

 

I’ve had the opportunity to do fieldwork at several wonderful physiotherapy and sport clinics with amazing mentors. I’ve had the pleasure of working with sport teams doing soft tissue release, teaching a 7 week physical education program for homeschool children with autism, become a personal trainer, run research experiments and so much more!
